Owner finds West Farms newsstand vandalized

WEST FARMS -

A newsstand owner says he was crushed to find his business vandalized.

Anibal Caban has been working at his corner newsstand for 50 years, greeting his customers every morning with a handshake and wave.

On Monday morning, Caban and his customers were met with broken glass along the floor and shards hanging on all three sides of the stand.

Caban says nothing was taken from the stand and that he plans to stay open despite the incident.

Neighbors promise to come back, saying their memories together are stronger than any amount of fractured glass.
