Police: 2 steal over $6K worth of food, cash from Tremont store

Police are searching for two people who they say robbed a Tremont store of nearly $6,000 in food and cash.
Detectives say the incident happened just after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
The owner of Roy's Fruits and Vegetables says a man was able to slip through the front gate and enter the store.
A man can be seen in surveillance footage going through an unlocked gate before robbing the store. Video shows the suspect raiding a seafood fridge and stuffing products into his bag.
The owner says the suspect got away with fish, salami, a food scale and three cash registers, one of which was filled with over $2,000.
Video also shows a woman waiting outside at the front of the store with a cart before leaving the scene with the man.
The owner says they have taken precautionary measures, locking the fridge and upgrading their alarm system.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
