Bronx middle schools host cancer walk

Two Bronx middle schools hosted an annual cancer walk Friday.
Both M.S. 127 and Linden Tree Elementary hosted the walk around their school yard to help fight cancer.
The fifth annual event is both educational and therapeutic, organizers say.
Organizers say the walk is even more special this year due to the death of the school's nurse, Alice De Rosa, who lost her yearlong battle with cancer.
Assistant Principal Jennifer Brooks says cancer affects everyone, and the school staff wants to help their students understand and cope with the emotions associated with loss.
