#N12BX: Clean subways

New York's subway stations are getting a cleanup.
The MTA is restoring some of its overnight cleaning shifts.
This comes just one year after they cut many of those jobs to save money.
Union officials say about 30 positions will be available on the A, R, 6 and D lines.
Transport Workers Union officials say the stations were getting too filthy.
Workers said they were walking into a mess when they started their morning shift.
Riders also added that it feels unsafe without an MTA presence at night.
The new shifts will start in early 2019.
