Police: Man wanted for 2 separate robberies in Throgs Neck

Police are still searching for a man wanted in connection to a robbery pattern in Throgs Neck.

They say on Sept. 22, the suspect hit a 53-year-old man in the head with a blunt object and took his iPhone 6. The suspect then got off a BX 40 bus at the intersection of East Tremont and Sampson avenues.

Officials say on Sept. 24, the same man demanded money from a 48-year-old man at a bus stop on the corner of East Tremont and Randall avenues.

Police say a struggle followed and the victim was eventually slashed in the head with a sharp object.

None of the victim's belongings were taken in that incident.
