$20 million restoration for Brownsville library to begin in 2021

A $20 million investment from the city is expected to make the library on Glenmore Avenue in Brownsville more comfortable for visitors.
The city says Brownsville Library Restoration Project is in the design phase until next year. Some renovations include mechanical, electrical, plumbing and security.
A big part of the renovations will have to do with the air conditioning system. They currently have a portable unit that makes too much noise.
The city says construction is expected to begin in 2021.
