Posted: Updated:
MOTT HAVEN -

Police say two men were shot in Mott Haven, and now a search is underway for a white SUV that fled the scene.

The double shooting occurred around 10 p.m. Friday near East 139th Street and Brook Avenue, according to police.

Surveillance video shows that the incident took place right in front of an electronics store and deli.

A 45-year-old was shot in the hip and a 21-year-old was struck in the foot. Both victims are expected to survive.

Neighbors say they aren't surprised to hear about the violence.

"It's nothing strange over here," one woman said. "It's normal."

Police say they have not made any arrests. They tell News 12 that the shooting happened following an argument.
