A judge has issued an arrest warrant for a Bronx man who skipped out on his sentencing.
Police say 28-year-old Dwayne Smith was expected to receive two years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals for kicking a 10-year-old dog in the head on Feb. 21.
The dog’s owner witnessed her pet go flying across the sidewalk and into a wall.
A veterinarian had to remove the dog's eye following the abuse.
