New playground for Roberto Clemente State Park slated for May

A brand-new playground is being constructed on the south side of Roberto Clemente State Park in Morris Heights.
The park was devastated during Superstorm Sandy, leaving the old playground dilapidated.
City officials installed state-of-the-art flood preventions along the waterfront in order to make the new playground more resilient.
The promenade was also completely transformed not too long ago, adding new life to the park.
Construction on the playground is expected to be finished in May.
Robert Clemente State Park is the only state park in the Bronx.
