A concrete plant worker had to be rescued Friday after falling into a 6-foot hole in West Farms.

A concrete plant worker had to be rescued Friday after falling into a 6-foot hole in West Farms.
The incident occurred on Bronx River Avenue near the Cross Bronx Expressway around 10:30 a.m.
The worker was rescued in under 30 minutes and taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in serious condition.
It wasn’t immediately clear how the worker ended up in the hole. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration told News 12 they are looking into the incident.
