Gov. Andrew Cuomo turns to Tesla for advice on NYC subways

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - In New York government news, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is turning to Tesla for advice on how to upgrade New York City's subways.

The Democrat says his administration wanted to ask about a new technology known as ultra-wideband sensors, which would automatically slow or stop a subway car if dangerous obstacles are detected. Cuomo says the technology isn't yet available for transit vehicles, but that it's important to keep up with advancements to ensure the subway system has the latest technology.
