A body has been found in a park in the Bronx, marking the second such incident in the span of a few days.
Authorities say parkgoers found a man’s body around 7:30 a.m. at Sachkerah Woods playground.
Friends say the man was homeless and frequented the park.
He was last seen alive trying to collect donations to buy a cake for a friend's birthday. The medical examiner is working to determine the cause and manner of death.
Police say there is no apparent criminality at this time.
As News 12 has reported, another body was found by MTA workers at French Charley Park earlier this week.
