NYPD: BX man steals MacBook, credit cards from sleeping man on 2 train

THE BRONX -

The NYPD is looking for a man wanted in connection to a grand larceny aboard the 2 train.

According to police, 28-year-old Jose Muniz of the Bronx was riding a northbound 2 train at 8 a.m. on Christmas Day when he grabbed a backpack from a 19-year-old who was asleep.

The backpack contained a MacBook Pro laptop, a car title and various credit cards.

The victim was later contacted on Facebook demanding $500 for the return of his car title.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
