Police: Man fatally shot on 219th Street

A man is dead after a shooting in Williamsbridge.

A man is dead after a shooting in Williamsbridge early Wednesday morning.
Shots were fired at 10-24 East 219th St, leaving a man in his 20s shot to death.
Police responded to the scene shortly before 6 a.m.
Officers say the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police blocked off the entire road between Laconia and Paulding avenues for hours along 219th Street.
One woman who spoke to News 12 said the victim was her friend and that he was a father who always had a kind, happy look on his face.
Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a white SUV they say the suspect drove away in.
No arrests have been made.
