Police: Suspect at large after shooting 2 people in parked car on NYE

Police say a man shot two people in their parked car on New Year’s Eve.

News 12 is told that shortly after 9:30 p.m., the man was near 907 East 221st St. in Williamsbridge when he fired multiple shots, hitting both the 26-year-old driver and his 34-year-old passenger.

Both were hit in the lower body and were released after being treated at the hospital while the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect was last seen carrying a green and black umbrella.
