Shoppers pack stores for last-minute essentials ahead of storm

Bronx residents were making a mad dash to stock up on food Saturday in preparation for the wintry mix of snow, raise and freezing temperatures.

News 12’s Jessica Madhukar visited Shop Rite on Bruckner Boulevard to get a firsthand look at the lines.

Shoppers could be seen scrambling for water and the typical essentials: milk, bread, eggs and some snacks to munch on.

Lines stretched throughout the store, and employees said they expected the store to get busier throughout the night.

Shoppers are urged to exercise caution while driving and walking in store parking lots.
