Bridgeport city manager, 3 city workers disciplined over sales violations of scrap metal

Bridgeport’s city manager is being docked a total of four weeks of pay after an investigation into the mishandling funds related to the sale of scrap metal.
Mayor Joe Ganim says John Ricci, the city's director of public facilities, will forfeit two weeks of salary and two weeks of vacation time.
Ganim says three additional employees of the Department of Public Facilities are also charged with violating city policies and also face disciplinary action.
The mayor did not provide specifics on the actual violations.
