The search is on for the suspect police say slapped and robbed a woman on West Fordham Road.

Police say the incident happened on Sunday, Jan. 13 just before 6 a.m.

They say the suspect approached the 21-year-old woman in front of 3 West Fordham Road and slapped her in the face.

News 12 is told the man then stole $5 from her and fled the area.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black vest, a Chicago bulls cap, gray sweater and backpack.

Police say the suspect appears to be between 20 and 25 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
