State Sen. Biaggi’s district office ‘resource hub’ up and running

State Sen. Alessandra Biaggi's district office is officially up and running on the 12th floor of the Hutchinson Metro Center.
It’s the same office that was occupied by state Sen. Jeffrey Klein, who elected not to transfer over the constituent complaints his office was working on.
Director of Constituent Services Frankie Mercedes says the office has been receiving plenty of calls and a few in-person visits since moving in on Monday.
“She's already seen cases ranging from housing complaints to citizenship applications, and is encouraging others in need to think of this place as a resource hub,” says Mercedes.
Chief of Staff Andrew Mutnick says the office is only temporary. He says they plan to move to a more visible and accessible location by the spring.
“We want to get down on the ground, street level, much more centrally located, near public transportation, so people can really get to us and access us,” he says.
State Sen. Biaggi's office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. All constituents are invited to stop by.
