Cardi B appears in Queens court for strip club brawl accusations
One of hip-hop’s biggest stars made her way to Queens court for an appearance following an alleged strip club melee.
Bronx native Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, is accused of being involved in a brawl at a Queens strip club back in August. The 26-year-old rapper faces misdemeanor assault and reckless endangerment charges.
According to court documents, her and her entourage threw chairs, bottles and hookah pipes at employees.
The fight was allegedly sparked by accusations that Cardi's rapper husband Offset had an affair with one of the club’s bartenders.
Her court appearance was over in a matter of minutes after the judge adjourned the case until April. The judge renewed an order of protection placed by the bar employees that were injured in the incident.
When asked if she was back together with Offset, she said, “We are working things out, baby.”
