COUNTRY CLUB -

Residents in the Country Club section of the Bronx are asking for more of a police presence after multiple car break-ins.

George Havranek has been living in Country Club for 63 years.

"For approximately 50 years, this has been a problem," he told News 12.

Havranek says he’s had two cars stolen in the past and fell victim to multiple break-ins.

He says most of the crimes happen along Middle Town Road, which runs parallel to Pelham Bay Park.

Geanine Cilenti's says her $1,300 camera was stolen earlier this week after a car break-in on Waterbury Avenue.

The NYPD told News 12 in a statement that detectives were investigating the thefts.
