Officials say a 19-year-old man was shot and killed near a school at Westchester and Tinton avenues.

Police say they got the call after 1 p.m. Investigators were looking for four men, but no arrests have been made and a motive is not yet known.

Police have taped off the corner of 156th Street and Westchester Avenue.

A group of young students say they were in a gym class when their school announced they were being sheltered in place.

One mother tells News 12 that the neighborhood has a history of violence.
