Mayor de Blasio: Bringing Amazon’s 2nd HQ to NYC is ‘mission critical’

NEW YORK CITY -

Mayor Bill de Blasio says he still believes Amazon's second headquarters belongs in Long Island City.

Yesterday, the mayor said it's a "mission critical" for New York to finalize the agreement and land the high-paying tech jobs. 

His comments follow a report that Amazon is having second thoughts due to loud opposition from state and city lawmakers.

Critics say the city and state are giving away too much to bring Amazon to Queens.
