Flatlands man takes plea deal in wife's slaying

A Flatlands man pleaded guilty Friday to the killing of his wife.
Police say they found Marie Loiseau in her home with head trauma on Sept. 5, 2017. Her husband, Desmoulins Loiseau, was the one who called 911.
Desmoulins Loiseau signed a plea agreement for first-degree manslaughter.
Desmoulins Loiseau will face 20 years behind bars and five years under supervision until he is deported back to Haiti.
"That man knew what he was doing because he removed all of his clothes from his house. After he killed her, he stayed in the house and called a friend and said I killed your friend,” says Marie Javier, Marie Loiseau’s sister-in-law.
The official sentencing date is set for March 22. The victim's daughter is expected to address her mother's killer.
