Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the Bronx's newest representatives but nearly two months after she was sworn in, she still doesn't have an office in the Bronx.

Ocasio-Cortez made history as she became the youngest woman in U.S. Congress this January.  The 29-year-old has opened offices in Queens and Washington, D.C., but not in the Bronx - the place she calls home.

A representative of Ocasio-Cortez explains they wanted to take over their predecessor's lease, but the landlord wanted almost double the rent.

Some residents are not too understanding, saying they won’t know how to find or locate her that if they have a problem.

The congresswoman's office tells News 12 that she's working with Sen. Alessandra Biaggi, whose offices are located on Waters Place, to find a location that can accommodate both teams.

Ocasio-Cortez has been using space in the New York Public Library as a mobile office to meet with constituents.

Her team says they hope to find a permanent location in the Bronx by the end of next month.
