A 16-year-old boy accused of shooting near a crowd of people in Highbridge will not be tried in criminal court.
A judge ruled today that the case will be handled in family court and that the suspect will be charged as a minor.

Prosecutors say the shooting happened in February on Gerard Avenue. Police say the shooting could have been connected to a gang fight.
No one was injured.
