Officials: Bronx man with loaded gun posed as TSA officer at JFK

THE BRONX -

Officials say an armed Bronx man was caught posing as a TSA officer at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Authorities found the man with a loaded gun and fake identification documents after a real TSA officer detained him.

The man said he was a new employee of the airport on Thursday, but failed to show valid identification, authorities say. When asked to show his airport badge, the man ran past the ticket checker before trying to run past the security scanning device.

He was detained by TSA until police arrived.
