Norwalk police provide extra security at mosque, houses of worship
Police in Norwalk Friday are providing extra security at a mosque and other houses of worship following a terror attack in New Zealand.
They have a patrol car and officer staged outside the Al Madany Islamic Center. Police and Mayor Harry Rilling met with religious leaders there Friday morning.
Rilling says it's important that everyone feels free to express their religious beliefs in Norwalk and throughout the world.
The Connecticut Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations says it mourns the heartbreaking killings.
