Calling all writers! Bronx Native brand wants you for next project

Calling all writers! The Bronx Native brand is seeking writers from all across the city to submit work for a new book.

The project is called 'BX Writers.' It's a collective book of poetry and short stories.

Josue Caceres is the Bronx Native brand manager and the mastermind behind 'BX Writers.' He first set out to collect submissions last year. He's looking for all types of written word, including poetry about life in the Bronx both good and bad. Submissions that were collected were posted to social media and received a great response.

That's why Caceres decided to publish an entire book. He's hoping to give New Yorkers a platform while creating an authentic narrative of growing up in the city. So far, Caceres has received about 50 submissions, but he's hoping to include as many writers as possible.

Submissions are being accepted from all over the city, and so far there's no deadline. Caceres hopes to start putting the book together next month.
