3 hospitalized in Webster Avenue crash
A crash on Webster Avenue Friday afternoon sent three people to the hospital, and eyewitnesses tell News 12 that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
It happened on Webster Avenue at East 182nd Street. The scene is right next to a school, and the crash happened just as kids were heading home for the weekend.
A man who works in a barbershop at the intersection tells News 12 that a motorcyclist who is one of his customers was riding up and down Webster Avenue. He says around 2:45 p.m. he saw the motorcyclist speeding southbound down Webster before trying to make a right turn onto East 182nd Street.
That's when he says the motorcyclist collided with an SUV that was making a left turn onto the same street from the opposite direction.
Emergency responders confirm that three people were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with minor injuries.
