The oldest operating magic shop in New York City is hidden in the heart of Manhattan.
Tannen’s Magic Shop is located on 34th Street, but most people don’t even know it’s there, says owner Adam Blumenthal.
“By the time you make it all the way up here and come to visit us, you found a secret piece of New York that most New Yorkers that walk down 34th Street to Macy’s or Penn Station will never know that they’re walking by a place that’s been in business for over 90 years and holds all the secrets we do here,” he says.
Blumenthal says they carry about 3,000 different products, and it’s one of the largest assortments of magic to be found anywhere in the world.
