Police are investigating after a man was found shot inside a NYCHA apartment Monday.

Police tell News 12 that a 44-year-old man was shot in the head and discovered on the 7th floor of the Forest Houses.

Investigators say the man was found face down around 10:20 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his head. He was rushed to the hospital where he's listed in critical condition.

One resident told News 12 several people inside the building have mad multiple complaints to NYCHA about the 7th floor apartment where the victim was found. He says the apartment is known for drug activity and it has been getting worse over the past couple months.

No arrests have been made.
