Bronx NBA Update: Bronx's own shine in 2018-19 season

As the NBA enters the final week of the regular season, a few locals from the Bronx have made an impact.
Kemba Walker, point guard for the Charlotte Hornets, had a 60-point game on November 17. His season has proved to the entire NBA that he is one of the elite scorers in the game.
Walker has steadily improved throughout his eight-year career, but this season he took his biggest leap in production. Fans in Charlotte noticed as they serenaded him with MVP chants early in the season.
“I don't even know what to say, I don’t know what to say man…I'm really at a loss for words, honestly, it definitely was a special moment,” says Walker.
The Hornets are on pace to miss the playoffs for the third-straight season and Walker is currently an unrestricted free agent, so his future in Charlotte is uncertain.
Bronx native Jonathan Isaac is completing his second season with the Orlando Magic. Isaac has started in the last 52 games and has been averaging 9.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Co-op City's John Holland appeared in one game for the Cavaliers before he was released in November. Last year, the Fordham alum was a member of Cleveland’s Eastern Conference Champion team. He scored a career high in the final game of last season with 21 points against the Knicks.
After being waived by the Cavs, Holland spent most of the season in the G League playing for the Austin Spurs.
