Police: Man confesses to killing his girlfriend in basement apartment

A man left the 46th Precinct Thursday in handcuffs after confessing to killing his girlfriend.
Police say 23-year-old Angel Esteban Feliz Rodriguez now faces murder and manslaughter charges.
According to detectives, Rodriguez walked into the precinct and admitted to hurting his girlfriend, 21-year-old Indira Ramirez-Rivera, at their apartment in Morris Heights Wednesday.
News 12 is told detectives headed to the apartment they shared on Nelson and Shakespeare avenues where they found the victim dead in the basement with injuries to her neck.
Detectives believe she was strangled. News 12 is waiting to hear back from the medical examiner to confirm how exactly she died.
News 12 is told the two did live together in that apartment.
