A Mott Haven mother is still seeking answers weeks after her 16-year-old son was shot in the head.

Ocean Conway is still hospitalized after a shooting at the Patterson Houses back in March.

The teen's mother, Stephanie Van Utrick, says her son is not walking or talking but is still battling to stay alive.

"He's fighting," she says. "He gives me my strength to go on so as long as he's fighting, I'm there every step of the way."

Van Utrick says it's "mind boggling" to her that this happened to Conway.

"He's not a kid that looks for trouble," Van Utrick says. "He's all about basketball, all about his family."

She says police have been helpful and just received a photo of a suspect who may be connected to the attack.
