BELMONT -

A mural of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz has been partially destroyed.

Junior's mother Leandra Feliz says she received calls from people telling her the mural appeared to be vandalized. Others on social media say it could have been a result of Friday's heavy rain storm.

After seeing the mural in person Saturday, Feliz believes it was partially destroyed deliberately.

Feliz says she is hoping the artist will redo the mural.

The artwork is a block away from the bodega where Junior was killed.
