LONGWOOD -

The eighth annual Bronx AIDS Walk to support those living with HIV and AIDS was held in Longwood Saturday.

The walk started on Southern Boulevard and attendees say it's a great way to raise awareness throughout the community.

Community-based organizations provided health education, screenings, and free HIV testing to those who participated in the walk.

The walk was sponsored by Bronx Community Board 2. The organization hosts an annual candlelight vigil commemorating World Aids Day on Dec. 1.
