Seniors prepare for their upcoming dance recital

THE BRONX -

Seniors at the Parkchester Enhancement Program are participating in dance classes and have been preparing for their final show.

The seniors meet twice a week and have learned how to tango and swing.

"These classes have been wonderful because it's in my neighborhood and it's a way for me to get exercise and enjoy the music," says Deborah Rhem.

The classes are taught by Daniela Del Giorno.

"They come together, they work together, they laugh together and they just enjoy the process, and it makes it super fun for me as a teacher," says Del Giorno.

An SU-CASA grant has helped bring dance classes to the center.

Classes end in June.
