NYPD: Man caught on camera using stolen credit card

Police are searching for a suspect accused of using a credit card recently stolen from a 60-year-old man Friday morning.

They say an unidentified man grabbed the victim, placed him in a chokehold and wrestled him to the ground around 4:30 a.m. near the corner of Jerome and Bainbridge avenues.

News 12 is told the suspect and his lookout then got away with the man's cellphone and wallet containing credit cards and $100.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for swollen eyes and bruising.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
