Planet Fitness offers health challenge for teens over summer break

Planet Fitness is hosting a teen summer challenge over the summer to help students focus on fitness.

Organizers say this initiative will show the importance of health and fitness to the younger generation.

The gym chain is welcoming teens ages 15-18 to work out at any of the 1,700 locations across the country from now through Sept. 1.

According to Planet Fitness, research finds that 91 percent of teens who stay active over the summer have improved mental health, focus and academics

The gym is also offering free group training and scholarship opportunities.
