Police: Man charged with murder, vehicular assault in 3rd Ave. hit-and-run

A man has been charged with murder and vehicular assault in connection with a 2018 hit-and-run, police say.
Angel Rodriguez, 28, was taken into custody Friday. He's accused of driving a white BMW into a parked van, fatally hitting the man standing behind that van, in the early morning of March 19, 2018. The victim, 27-year-old Wally Dominguez, had been celebrating his birthday.
A 24-year-old man was also hit. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Sources say the U.S. Marshals helped the New York Police Department to bring in the suspect, who allegedly fled the state last year. Authorities had been looking for the man for approximately 14 months.
