Bridgeport officials to release report showing increase in suicides in city

Bridgeport officials will soon release a report showing a significant increase in the number of suicides in the city over the past two years.
Mayor Joe Ganim says the city will be pushing to make treatment available to anybody who needs it.
Michelle King-Vasquez, a teacher at Calvary St. George Episcopal Church, says online bullying is a huge factor, but schools are cutting the social workers who help kids deal with that problem.
King-Vasquez's son, 22-year-old Air Force Sgt. Raymond King, had taken his own life at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, following a tour of combat duty in Afghanistan.
She says she is fighting to get funding restored, as a tribute to her son, to prevent more young people from killing themselves.
