Prosecutors: Parents placed 4-month-old in ‘time out;' put comforter over him and left room

The parents of a 4-month-old boy who suffocated early last year at a motel have been indicted for murder in connection with his death.
According to prosecutors, William Herring, 42, and Brianna Brochhausen, 23, were living at Hilltop Motel on Route 68 in Springfield Township last February when they got upset that their son Hunter wouldn't stop crying and needed to be placed in a “time out.”
Police say they put him on the bed on his stomach, placed a comforter over him and then left the room for 10 minutes to smoke cigarettes.
When they returned back, he wasn't breathing and was unresponsive.
Hunter was taken to a hospital, where he died a few weeks later.
Both were indicted on murder and other charges.
