Police: Officers shoot at woman with knife in Queens

Police say officers were involved in a shooting Friday night when a woman charged at them with a knife in Queens.
They say the shooting happened at 10 p.m. when two officers approached a woman who was acting erratically outside of a car wash. Officials say she threw a bottle at the officers as they exited their car.
Police say that's when the officers noticed she was holding a knife and ordered the woman to drop it. They say she instead charged at the officers with the knife in her hand.
Officials say one of the officers fired one round, striking the woman in the stomach before she fled. Two additional officers responded and tazed the woman before placing her into custody.
She was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover.
