MOUNT HOPE -

Police say three people robbed and assaulted a man on the D train Thursday afternoon.

They say the men went up to a 28-year-old man on the southbound D train near East 174th and 175th streets.

Police say one of the suspects is accused of grabbing the victim's gold chain on his neck while the train was stopped at the station. They say the victim then chased the suspects to get his chain back when two of the suspects assaulted him.

The victim was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
