Hundreds gather for City Island Memorial Day Parade

Crowds came out in full force for this year's annual City Island Memorial Day Parade.
On Monday afternoon, people waved their American flags in honor of those who died fighting for the United States.
Parade organizers say that the event is a time for people in the Bronx to come together, enjoy the weather and pay their respects as a community.
The parade ends with a big party, but the day is not about festivities. Army veteran Juan Olmeda, who comes from a line of soldiers, says he wants people to understand that Memorial Day is a day of reflection.
