A Claremont man says neighbors who park their cars on Fulton Avenue have been dealing with vandals for years.
Mamadou Diallo sent News 12 The Bronx a video from this past weekend showing multiple cars along the block with smashed windows.
He says his own car has had its windows shattered at least four times in the four years he has lived in Claremont.
Diallo says some neighbors file police reports and others don’t because he claims it could take up to four hours for an officer to arrive.
“Sometimes there’s a camera around,” he says. “They don't really check or do any investigation."
The NYPD issued a statement saying, "The Commanding Officer of the 42nd Precinct is aware of the car break-ins in the area of East 168 Street and Fulton Avenue and has deployed Neighborhood Coordination Officers, patrol officers and anti-crime personnel to the area to conduct patrols to monitor the area and search for a suspect(s) during every tour.  The investigation remains ongoin."
