A woman was caught in the crossfire of a shooting while walking to work Wednesday and was shot in the arm, according to officials.

Police say the call came in just after 8 a.m. of a 39-year-old woman shot near 2445 Williamsbridge Road.

Investigators say a man was shooting at another male individual outside of the Pelham Parkway Houses when the victim was caught in the crossfire. Police say the woman was not the intended target.

Eyewitnesses tell News 12 they heard several gunshots on the residential block.

The woman was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where she is listed in stable condition.
