A massive sinkhole is being fixed on Creston Avenue near East 180 Street in Fordham.
Officials say the hole is about 5-feet wide. The area where the hole is located was shut down Friday morning when a box truck got stuck in the hole.
Officials told News 12 that FDNY crews removed fuel from the truck to make it lighter to be towed out.
Neighbors said this is the second time a hole has opened up on the block.
A water main break occurred on a nearby block Thursday, causing feet of water to flood the basement of residents living at 2076 Creston Ave.
The Office of Emergency Management told News 12 all repairs to the water main break location are complete.
Department of Environmental Protection crews are investigating and working on repairs for the sinkhole.
