A 52-year-old man is dead following an early morning stabbing in Wakefield Monday morning.

Officers tell News 12 the call came in around 6 a.m. 

Officials say the 52-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in front of at 3964 Bronx Blvd.

Investigators say he was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

Investigators did recover a knife at the scene in the park across the street from the building. There's no word yet on if it is in fact the murder weapon.
